7:00 PM - 8:30 PM
Washington Township Public Library
Meeting Room

Event Details

Why did 55 prominent men from 12 of the 13 former colonies meet in Philadelphia in May 1787? Why did it take 4 months to reach any sort of consensus on what was called by some “Philadelphia Toilet Paper”? What were some of the MANY proposals, both those finally accepted and some rejected? Join Nolan Asch, who has previously presented at the library on Alexander Hamilton and Benjamin Franklin, for a look at the history of the drafting of the United States Constitution.
